A significant inmate of Barry was LMS 'Jubilee' class 4-6-0 no. 45699 'Galatea', one of only four survivors of a class of 191. At one time thought to be beyond restoration, having had its centre driving wheels cut, the loco is now being restored at Carnforth.Previous | NextLMS 'Jinty' 0-6-0T no. 47406. The loco was to be further cannibalised before it eventually left Barry and now resides on the Great Central Railway.
