A selection of over 900 images scanned from 35mm transparencies and black & white negatives of the 1970s/80s BR blue and, later, sectorisation liveries. Photographs are generally arranged in locomotive/unit number order. (Some early b/w and 'Instamatic' shots are included for interest value, rather than photographic quality!)

03141, one of the locos with a cut down cab at Landore Diesel Depot. Nine 03's were modified by reducing their height by four and a half inches for use on the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway in South Wales, where they were often seen working together in threes on the steeply graded line. They were replaced by similarly modified 08/9's operating singly in the later 1980s.

The SA1 Waterfront development at Swansea is proceeding apace, but this was the scene at the erstwhile Swansea East Dock stabling point 25 years ago on 3rd May 1982. The Village Hotel now stands approximately on this site. Identifiable nearest the camera is 08663 which lives on at Bristol St. Phillips Marsh Depot.
